Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Capital Projects, this position is responsible for the technical development of and the ongoing direction of the routine capital maintenance, renewal and remediation program on behalf of the CRD and its wholly owned subsidiary, the Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC). This position will focus on developing a forward looking assessment management plan for the CRHC’s existing housing portfolio utilizing indicators, including asset risk and asset health replacement and investment planning in alignment with corporate policies and procedures. This position will also provide technical expertise to arrange, coordinate and oversee the internal and external specialist resources required to support the planning, design and execution of capital works projects pertaining to the CRHC portfolio of more than 50 buildings totaling over 1,900 units of affordable, non-profit housing. This position works interdependently with other CRHC and CRD divisions and collaboratively with other levels of government and the private sector to assist in achieving the corporate goal of supporting continued investment into existing CRHC housing stock to preserve and enhance the quality of the buildings and units.
