23/244i - Watershed Hydrology Technician
Watershed Protection is a continuous operation committed to protecting the Greater Victoria Water Supply Area (GVWSA) 7 days per week. To the extent it is possible shifts are anticipated to align with Monday – Friday operations. Divisional staff may be scheduled to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required, to ensure the ongoing protection of the GVWSA and seasonal demands.
This position is responsible for the installation, upgrade, maintenance, repair, and administration of the network of weather and hydrology stations and soil moisture monitoring sites in the GVWSA. This position assists with stream channel and flow measurements and plays an important role in the Watershed Hydrology program. The position also focuses on quality control procedures and data summary reports.
