Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Services, the Controller is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction specific to the organization’s planning, coordination and supervision of Corporate Accounting and Compliance, Financial Reporting, Corporate Finance and Treasury, Revenue and Payroll functions for all three entities of the Capital Regional District (CRD), the Capital Regional Housing Corporation (CHRC) and Capital Regional Hospital District (CRHD). As a member of the Financial Services senior management team, the Controller manages day-to-day operations focusing on optimization of transaction processing and leading expert advisory services related to corporate policies, practices, and strategic financial decision support. As a change agent, the Controller will drive towards strengthening collaborative and consultative business partnerships with divisional clients. This leadership position also works collaboratively with division managers and CRD departments to provide best-in-class customer service with a commitment to simplification, transparency, and innovation, alignment with the CRD Corporate Plan and Financial Services Strategic Plan.
