21/084e - Social Science Research Assistant
The position supports the Social Science Specialist in conducting surveys and other public engagement activities related to regional parks and trails. For example: survey development and administration, observational studies on park visitors’ behaviours. Assists with the gathering of research material, conducts field work, identifies and assists with the implementation of best social science practices and supports programs and initiatives. The assistant may work closely with other staff members of regional parks.
The anticipated length of this term assignment is until September 30, 2021.
This position requires an acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent will be required to undergo a criminal record check in order to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment in this position.
