The CRD contracts with the Royal and McPherson Theatre Society to administer the theatres on the Board's behalf. The CRD appoints between 6 and 8 directors to the Society's Board.


The Capital Regional District is accepting applications, to fill two vacancies, from individuals interested in serving as a volunteer CRD Appointed Director to the Royal and McPherson Theatres Society.

Preference may be given to candidates who will be an asset to the Society as it reviews technical building studies and begins synthesizing renovation plans for the two theatres. Candidates with the following relevant backgrounds and experience are strongly encouraged to apply: architecture; engineering; project management; renovation of heritage and/or publicly funded buildings; and knowledge of production requirements of performing arts & live entertainment. Candidates must reside in the Capital Regional District.
