Water use can return to normal for the communities of Sooke, East Sooke, parts of the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area, and T’Sou-ke First Nation.

The Capital Regional District (CRD) has completed repairs to a break in the water supply main leading to the Sooke River Road Disinfection Facility, which services approximately 13,000 residents.

Water use can return to normal for the communities of Sooke, East Sooke, parts of the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area, and T’Sou-ke First Nation (click here for map).

The CRD would like to sincerely thank all residents in the impacted area for their efforts to reduce water use during the repairs. Your help contributed to our ability to successfully complete the repair while maintaining a consistent supply of water for the community’s immediate needs.

The water main break was identified at approximately 6am on September 27 in Sooke Potholes Regional Park, north of the water treatment plant.
