Layritz Park
Layritz Park is 29 hectares of public land in the Municipality of Saanich. The park was completed in 2008.
Rainwater Management Techniques
Rain gardens
A hybrid design that should see the larger of two grassed detention areas performing as a rain garden during the drier months and as a detention pond in the very wet months of the year. A good sand base growing medium will help retention of water in the rain garden/pond and swales.
Bioswales
Swales are integrated into the site design to remove silt and pollution from surface runoff water.
