Water Account Information
This account information applies to customers living in the West Shore Communities of Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, View Royal, Sooke and East Sooke.
Water Billing
Water meters are read and billed out every two months. Payment is due within 30 days of issuing the water bill. A late payment charge of 2.5% will be added after the billing due date.
The current property owner is responsible for water accounts unpaid by former owners or occupants.
Note: There will be a charge for duplicate billing documents and payment history.
Accounts in Arrears
Water consumption charges or service charges due and payable on December 31 and unpaid at that date shall be added to property taxes and collected as Taxes In Arrears. (Except properties exempt from assessment for taxation). An administration fee of $40 shall be levied and added to the real property taxes as prescribed in CRD Bylaw No. 3570.
Properties Not Transferable to Property Taxes
Please be advised that water service may be shut off when the account is in arrears and will not be turned on until the total amount due is paid in including the disconnection and reconnection charges.
