Efficient Irrigation Workshops
Are you considering the purchase and installation of a drip or micro irrigation system or do you already own an irrigation system that you would like to upgrade?
CRD Environmental Sustainability and the Irrigation Industry Association of BC host free efficient irrigation workshops. Irrigation experts will demonstrate the benefits of these systems, explain how to schedule controllers, provide tips for self-maintenance and more.
Certified Irrigation Technician Level 2 Landscape course
In an effort to promote water conservation and the design and installation of efficient irrigation systems, the Capital Regional District Environmental Sustainability department and the Irrigation Industry Association of BC are offering contractors in the Capital Regional District the IIABC's Certified Irrigation Technician - Level 2 Landscape course.

Native Plant Gardening Workshops

Would you like to learn more about native plant gardening? Our three hour workshop will identify and review the benefits of native plants, teach how and where to grow them, offer tips on reducing or eliminating lawns and more.
The Next Steps in Native Plant Gardening
Join Native plant gardening consultant Pat Johnston to learn advanced knowledge of native plants and how to garden with them. This workshop will provide a forum for discussion, problem solving, sharing ideas and an opportunity for participants to expand their knowledge of native plant gardening.
This workshop is designed for individuals who have native plant gardening experience and attendance at the "Grow a Native Plant Garden" workshop (above) is a pre-requisite.

- native plants by season and colour
- garden problems - finding solutions
- viewing native plant gardens
