Trent Pump Station

Trent Pump Station
The Proposed site comprises 2 vacant lots and its existing zoning permits its use for a public utility. The size of the property and footprint of the proposed station provide ample opportunity for screening and landscaping so that the pump station will fit into its surrounding area.
Once constructed, the pump station will be owned and operated by the CRD. The CRD has a long history of planning, designing, operating and maintaining pump stations successfully within existing neighbourhoods.
It is anticipated that construction will start in late summer or fall, 2006. For more information on the pump station, view the downloadable materials below.
Public Consultation
As part of the planning for the new pump station, a consultation and communications process was developed by the CRD to obtain input from local residents, businesses, community and neighbourhood associations and other stakeholders.
Over several months, from the Fall of 2005 to March 2006, a number of consultations with key stakeholders and the public have taken place. For more information see the Report on the Public Consultation Process below. The feasibility of all suggestions are being investigated and, where possible given engineering, planning, financial or other constraints will be accommodated.
Consultation is ongoing - another Open House will be held in Fall 2006 to discuss the Trent Forcemain.
