Landfill Restrictions (banned items)

The following materials are strictly prohibited from landfill disposal at Hartland:

Note – many of these items can be recycled recyclable at Hartland.

  • aggregate
  • asphalt (road material banned, shingles accepted as garbage)
  • biomedical waste
  • clean soil
  • concrete
  • corrugated cardboard recyclable
  • directories recyclable
  • drywall (in loads weighing more than 100 kg) recyclable under 100 kg
