Rainbow Road Indoor Pool

Rainbow Road Indoor Pool
The Rainbow Road Pool was closed for its annual maintenance this past September.
Some of the changes the public will notice are:
- the beautiful "wave" mural that has been painted down the far wall. Many thanks go to Patricia Brown, a local Salt Spring artist, for her generous donation.
- the improved water quality, since the UV (ultra violet) treatment system has been installed and is up and running. Many positive comments have been received.
- the rope swing that has been added in the deep end. The "Tarzan" rope will be open for use during all "Everyone Welcome" swims.
- the baby changes tables that have been installed in the change rooms and the child protection seats that have gone in some of the change room stalls. These are a welcome addition for parents attending the new "Parent and Pre" program and the "Everyone Welcome" swims.
"Invisible" improvements include the addition of a glycol unit to prevent water lines from freezing and an irrigation system in the flower beds of the parking lot.
All that AND the tanks were drained, scrubbed and tested!
The staff are now focusing their attention on fall and winter programs such as "Parent and Pre Time" and C.A.R.E. (Careful Aquatic Rehab Exercise).
