The Regional Planning Division collects and maintains monthly building permit and subdivision data for thirteen municipalities and three electoral areas within the CRD. The data gathered provides information on construction and development activity in the region for the Quarterly Building Permit Reports, numerous factsheets on our website and, for the annual population estimate process.
Reporting Tools
Construction activity previously appeared in the Development Review — a print publication available for purchase from the Regional Planning office, but no longer published.
Construction permit activity is now available on our website using the following tools:
| Monthly Permit Report Tool | Search municipal permit data by month and year. Reports include historical data up to the latest recording cycle - two months preceding the current month. |
| Quarterly Building Permit Reports | Published four times per year and posted in the month following the quarter. Reports for the third quarter of 2009 are now posted. |
| Construction and Subdivision Statistics | Link to current construction and subdivision factsheets. |
