Bylaw 2875 states that there are eight Parks Commissioners appointed for two year terms. The Commission elects a Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer from amongst its members. Appointees may serve for only three consecutive terms unless extended by the Regional Board. The Chair's term of office is two consecutive years unless extended by the Regional Board.
Vacancies will be advertised. An effort will be made to ensure gender equity and that a variety of community interests and areas are represented.
