Tidepool Exploration - Witty's Lagoon Regional Park

Attention Elementary Teachers

It's time to get out of the classroom and into the parks! Each Spring (April-June) and Fall (October-November), Regional Parks offers a wide variety of nature programs to support your efforts in the classroom, and engage your students with the natural world.

Programs are available for children in Kindergarten through grade six. All programs are designed for the ages and curriculum requirements of your students.

Spring 2012 Programs

Treat your students to one or more of our interactive nature experiences.

Program Information

  • School programs are offered from April 3 to June 22 at Elk/Beaver Lake, Francis/King, Mill Hill, Island View Beach and Witty's Lagoon regional parks. Some of our programs can be held at your school.
  • Marine programs are available at Island View Beach and Witty’s Lagoon regional parks when tide conditions are favourable.
  • Forest programs are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30am or 12:30pm.
  • Programs are booked on a first come, first-served basis.
  • Class size is limited to 30 students; a $3.00 charge will apply for each additional student.
  • Special requests will be accommodated to the greatest extent possible.
  • Be prepared! Dress for the outdoors as appropriate for the season.
  • All programs are held rain or shine!

Programs Fill Up Quickly!

The cost of programs is $70/program (non-taxable) with the following exceptions:

    • $50/program for “Love your Beach”.
    • $100/program for “Ocean Ecosystem Exploration”.

Registration is taken on a first come, first-served basis.

Please do not submit your registration via phone or email. You may either complete an online registration form or print a downloadable registration form and fax or mail it to us.
