June 2010 - Peninsula Recreation Commission’s Strategic Plan 2010-2014
The Peninsula Recreation Commission is embarking on the strategic plan for 2010 through 2014. The final report was presented by Professional Environmental Recreation Consultants (PERC) to the Peninsula Recreation Commission in June.

May 2010 - Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)
Program Registrations, Pass Sales, Facility Rental, etc. Between May 1–June 30, 2010
- The implementation of the HST as prescribed by the Province of BC requires collection of HST starting May 1, 2010 on any product or service or portion thereof delivered on or after July 1, 2010.
- Any additional taxes payable, due to HST implementation, during the transition period of May 1st through June 30th will be charged to customers accounts July 1st and will then be due and payable
- Programs for children 14 years and under will be exempt from HST

May 8, 2010 - Battle of the Bands
Congratulations to Aftermath, who took home Battle of the Bands' first prize on Saturday May 8th. Second place went to Headhunters, and Caution Tape Girl came in at third place. Panorama Recreation and TC-Helicon present Battle of the Bands 2010, Saturday May 8th 7-10pm. This event showcases live performances by young musicians ranging in age from 11-18yrs; it promises to be an exciting and fun time for all. $5 tickets up until May 7th , $7 at the door. Read more

March 26, 2010 - Lifesaving Society Affiliate Award
The BC & Yukon Branch of the Lifesaving Society presented Panorama Recreation with a 2009 Affiliate Award for hosting the most Lifesaving Society courses per capita.

October 24, 2009 – Aquatic Complex Grand Opening
The Peninsula Recreation Commission and the Capital Regional District opened the magnificent new aquatic complex at Panorama Recreation Centre (PRC) on Saturday morning, October 24th, in North Saanich. Read more
October 24, 2009 – Panorama Mascot
Panorama Recreation introduced the new mascot at the Aquatic Complex Grand Opening event on October 24, 2009. Slide was warmly welcomed by many of Panorama's patron. He looks forward to his role of promoting health and wellness to the Saanich Peninsula.
