Willis Point Advisory Planning Commission Meeting new

An APC meeting is scheduled for Monday January 11, 2010 at the Willis Point Fire Hall at 6933 Willis Point Road starting at 7:00 pm.

The intent of the meeting is to discuss a proposal by Telus to locate another cell phone tower on the site. A representative from Telus will be at the meeting to answer any questions. For further information on the meeting please check the agenda.

Proposed Detached Accessory Suites Bylaw No. 3605 - Notice of Public Hearing new

The proposed bylaw was given second reading at the December 9, 2009 CRD Board meeting and directed to public hearing. The proposed bylaw incorporates motions from the Land Use Committee meeting on November 17, 2009.

The Public Hearing is tentatively scheduled as follows:

  • Tuesday February 9, 2010, 7 pm
  • District of Sooke Council Chambers, 2225 Otter Point Road, Sooke

For the purposes of this Public Hearing phase of the consultation on the bylaws, all written submissions must be submitted by the date of the hearing and must be directed to:

Proposed Rural Resource Lands Official Community Plan (Bylaw No. 3591) & Land Use Bylaw (Bylaw No. 3602) - Notice of Public Hearing

Notice of East Sooke Advisory Planning Commission Meeting

On November 17, 2009 the Land Use Committee directed staff to consult with the East Sooke community on this issue.

At the meeting the APC will consider a revised version of Bylaw No. 3605 Word document, an amendment to the Sooke Land Use Bylaw 2040, which would allow a suite to be located in an accessory building, if a certain set of conditions were adhered to.

The East Sooke APC will be meeting on Wednesday January 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the East Sooke Fire Hall located at 1397 Coppermine Road.

Willis Point Advisory Planning Commission - Vacancy

The Juan de Fuca Electoral Area, in accordance with CRD Bylaw No. 2945, has a vacancy for one position for the remainder of a three year term which expires December 31, 2011 to represent the Willis Point area on the Willis Point Advisory Planning Commission.
