Tenant Information

Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC) welcomes you to your new home. We hope the following pages will help you find the information you need. Please see your Tenant Handbook for clarification if needed.

Rent Payments

Rent payments are accepted at the Housing Corporation office, 631 Fisgard St. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Payment can be made by personal cheque, money order, cash or debit. We do not accept credit card payments or third party cheques.

Pre-authorized rent payments are a convenient, secure and assured method of rent payment. Rent payments will be automatically deducted on the first day of the month. The program is voluntary and residents may participate or withdraw from the program by giving the Corporation written notice no later than the 20th of the month for the following month's rent payment.

Parking Information

You are permitted to park your vehicle(s) only in your designated parking spaces. Do not park in a visitor parking space or lane way, or your vehicle may be towed. If you require additional parking, please check with your caretaker. If you change vehicles or licence plate numbers, please advise your caretaker so that the parking log can be amended.

Painting or Redecorating Policy

Any alteration to the inside or outside of your home requires written permission from the office before the work is done. You must also get permission to change the curtains and blinds, and any new window coverings must have a white or cream side facing the outside. You must keep the original curtains and blinds and put them back up when moving out.

Pet Policy

You must have written permission from CRHC to have a pet in your unit, if the complex is approved for pets. Only the pet you have registered with the Housing Corporation is permitted in your unit. No dogs, other than registered assistance dogs are permitted on the property at any time.

Early Notice Program

If you know you will be moving out, and are able to give an additional 10 (ten) working days notice, you may be eligible for a $100 bonus. The extra time gives Corporation staff the opportunity to select a new tenant and perform necessary repairs in your suite. Please refer to the Tenant Handbook and the chart below to see if you could be eligible.
