Victoria, BC– The Capital Regional District (CRD) is working towards implementing a Regional Water Supply (RWS) Development Cost Charge (DCC) Program to help fund eligible growth-related drinking water projects serving Greater Victoria.
We are now seeking additional feedback on a backgrounder report which summarizes the program. Members of the public and the development community can share their feedback via our online comment form by November 9, 2024 at 11:55 pm.
In June, we completed our initial RWS DCC engagement which consisted of two virtual information sessions and an online survey. Input received helped shape the development of the proposed Regional Water Supply DCC Program.
The Regional Water Supply Commission will review comments received through the online comment form to determine the level of support for the program as well as identify factors to consider related to program design and implementation. The CRD Board will make the final decision regarding this program after considering recommendations from the Regional Water Supply Commission later this year.
