Build a Rain Garden with Hatchet and Seed (Webinar)

Sep 18, 2024, 7pm-8:30pm

Event Information

A rain garden is a garden that lies below the level of its surroundings, designed to absorb rainwater that runs off a surface, such as a patio or roof.

By allowing rainwater to infiltrate through a rain garden rather than enter the stormwater system, we can reduce flooding in our neighborhoods and protect aquatic habitat by reducing erosion and pollution in our creeks and streams.

Learn the basics of designing and utilizing a rain garden for rainwater management in a residential setting.

Tayler Krawczyk, a landscape garden professional and ecological landscape designer, will be sharing knowledge about site and soil evaluation, sizing, best practices, plating selection, overflow and maintenance requirements. A few case studies will also be shared along with frequently asked questions.

This event will be on Zoom, please register here.
