Ganges Sewer Local Services Commission
The Commission administers a sewage collection and disposal service for the community of Ganges. The service is funded by parcel tax, user fees and connection charges.
The commission establishes policies for the operation of the service and recommends to the CRD Board levels of user fees, parcel and frontage taxes and other charges for the service. The commission works closely with the Integrated Water Services Department, which supplies operating and engineering staff and management of the service.
The commission meets on an as required basis.
Salt Spring Island Liquid Waste Disposal Local Service Commission
This service receives and processes sewage sludge and septic tank waste at the Burgoyne Septage Disposal Facility.
The commission establishes policies for the operation of the service and recommends to the CRD Board levels of user fees, parcel and frontage taxes and other charges for the service. The commission works closely with the Integrated Water Services Department, which supplies operating and engineering staff and management of the service.
The commission meets on an as required basis.
Salt Spring Island Solid Waste Advisory Committee
Comprised of SSI officials and members at large who represent the residents of SSI, the committee deals with all SSI solid waste issues on the island.
The committee reviews and makes recommendations to the CRD Board, through the CRD Environment and Sustainability Committee. The chair of the committee is the SSI Electoral Area Director.
The committee meets on an as required basis.
Beddis Water Service Commission
The commission administers the water service to the Beddis community. The system relies on surface water drawn from Cusheon Lake.
The commission establishes policies for the operation of the service and recommends to the CRD Board levels of user fees, parcel and frontage taxes and other charges for the service. The commission works closely with the Integrated Water Services Department, which supplies operating and engineering staff and management of the service.
The commission meets on an as required basis.
Cedar Lane Water Service Commission
The Commission administers the water service for the Cedar Lane subdivision on Cedar Lane Road and Mansell Road, north of Ganges Village.
The commission establishes policies for the operation of the service and recommends to the CRD Board levels of user fees, parcel and frontage taxes and other charges for the service. The commission works closely with the Integrated Water Services Department, which supplies operating and engineering staff and management of the service.

Cedars of Tuam Water Service Commission
The Commission administers the water service for the Cedars of Tuam subdivision on Roland Road off Isabella Point Road, on the west shore of Fulford Harbour.
The commission establishes policies for the operation of the service and recommends to the CRD Board levels of user fees, parcel and frontage taxes and other charges for the service. The commission works closely with the Integrated Water Services Department, which supplies operating and engineering staff and management of the service.

Fernwood Water Local Service Commission
The commission administers the water service for the Fernwood rural development. Fernwood Water was established by the CRD in 1989.
The commission establishes policies for the operation of the service and recommends to the CRD Board levels of user fees, parcel and frontage taxes and other charges for the service. The commission works closely with the Integrated Water Services Department, which supplies operating and engineering staff and management of the service.

Fulford Water Service Commission
The committee administers the water service for the Fulford village area.
The commission establishes policies for the operation of the service and recommends to the CRD Board levels of user fees, parcel and frontage taxes and other charges for the service. Highland Water & Sewer Local Services Commission
The commission administers two services on Salt Spring Island: a water supply system serving Highland Estates and Maliview Estates; a sewer service for Maliview Estates only. The Maliview sewer service, started in 1979, is the older and was not extended to the Highland subdivision.
